Social Gravel Bike Ride for Uppsala Students

Join us for our first social road bike ride for students in Uppsala!

The tour is suitable for both beginners with some experience and advanced riders. Essentially, we’ll have a fun and active time with great conversations while biking, without any pressure to keep up or worry about the pace. However, it will still be a sporty ride. 

The ride is led by our new groupride leader Ali Yildiz. The tour will go out on both main roads, cycling lanes and gravel if they are available outside the city.

WHERE?

Gathering at Campus1477, Von Kraemers Allé 5

WHEN?

  • Sunday 12 April, 10-12 am
  • Sunday 26 April, 10-12 am

HOW?

  • Which type of bike do I need?
    • As we go on different roads it's preferable to come with a Gravel bike, but you'll do fine with a sporty Hybrid bike or MTB as well. The avarage speed will be 20-25 km/h:ish. 
  • Which further equipment do I need?
    • Wearing a helmet is mandatory.
    • Please dress in sportswear and appropriately for the weather.
    • Bring cash, swish or card if we stop for fika
    • Please bring some bike nutritions (e.g. a banana) and filled bottles

FIKA:
Depending on weather, route and available time we will have Fika break in between or Fika gathering afterwards.
