Hike around Stordammen - 9 May 2026

In collaboration with the Uppsala local branch of the Swedish Tourist Association (Svenska Turistföreningen - STF) and Student Health Service at Uppsala University, we invite you to a hike around Stordammen i Österbybruk.

We’ll be walking along beautiful paths and 400-year-old embankments. During the walk, we’ll stop for lunch and at least two coffee breaks – so please bring a packed lunch and snacks for the whole day. We’ll also meet one of the driving forces behind the trail, who will tell us how it came about. It was created over the past year by the local association Natur & Kultur in the Dannemora area, in collaboration with the local council and the Upplandsstiftelsen. The work involved everything from scouting and marking out new routes to extensive footbridge construction and blue trail markings. The trail was officially opened in May and has already attracted walkers from near and far. Come and discover a unique cultural and natural environment with us! The activity is organised in collaboration between Campus1477, Student Health Services at Uppsala University, STF and Studiefrämjandet.
