Social Road Bike Ride for Uppsala Students

Join us for our first social road bike ride for students in Uppsala!

The tour is suitable for both beginners with some experience and advanced riders. Essentially, we’ll have a fun and active time with great conversations while biking, without any pressure to keep up or worry about the pace. However, it will still be a sporty ride.

The ride is led by our new groupride leader and international student Ferdinand Fröhlich. The tour will go out on both main roads and cycling lanes if they are available outside the city. Also some easygoing, wider gravel paths are possible eventhough this ride isn't about heavy graveling at all.

HOW?

  • Which type of bike do I need?
    • As we go on a sporty road bike trip, please preferable come with a road or gravel bike. Since we won't ride race pace at all but aim to reach an average speed of 24-26ish, you can even participate with a sporty flatbar.
  • Which further equipment do I need?
    • Wearing a helmet is mandatory.
    • Please dress in sportswear and appropriately for the weather.
    • Please bring front and back lights as autumn is almost there, eventhough it's not intended to ride in the dark.
    • Please bring some bike nutritions (e.g. a banana) and filled bottles

How about FIKA?

Of course, Fika is important: depending on weather, route and available time we will have Fika break in between or Fika gathering afterwards.
