Hike with a Map and Compass

In collaboration with the Uppsala local branch of the Swedish Tourist Association (Svenska Turistföreningen - STF) and Student Health Service at Uppsala University, we invite you to learn to hike with map and compass so you can find your way out in the nice swedish nature on your own.

We use a map and compass to find our way in nature, for example along a hiking trail or on paths. At the meeting we will talk about: What a map and compass are, how they are used and what you need to consider to avoid getting lost and how to find your way back if you do get lost.

You need to be able to walk a few kilometers along paths and wear clothes according to the weather. We are outdoors all the time. Bring your own compass if you have one. We will stop for a fika so bring something to eat and drink and something to sit on.
