5 April - Pilgrimage Hike

In collaboration with the University Chaplaincy and Student Health Service, we invite you to a Pilgrimage hike. A perfect break from studies where you get to discover a piece of Swedish history, get to know new people and BREATHE a little. We walk at a leisurely pace, mix conversations with silence and occasionally pausing.

The goal of the walk is Almunge church, a medieval church known for its paintings by Albertus Pictor, one of Sweden's most famous medieval artists.

We gather at 09.10 am at Uppsala C, location B2, to take bus 809 at 09:31 am. From Länna we hike towards Almunge church, with a break for lunch in a forest clearing. Maybe we pet some lambs at Hagby farm. The walk is approximately 10 km through relatively easy-to-walk terrain with alternating undulating fields. We are back in Uppsala by bus around 4 pm.

During the walk we will reflect on: Freedom, Simplicity, Silence, Carefreeness, Slowness, Spirituality and Sharing.

To bring:
• Dress for the weather
• Comfortable and durable shoes
• Lunch, snacks and water.
• Seat pad

Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you are used to pilgrimages or not. It's for free!

Registration in the form at the University Chaplaincy's website.

PS: Save the date for the next hike, which is May 17!
