Let's try Wood carving - 12 Sept 2026

Want to try to carv in wood. Then join Uppsala Naturskola's wood carving school.

Uppsala Naturskola in collaboration with the Uppland Foundation, is organising woodcarving and woodcraft activities for in Hammarskog. We’ll be based in the outdoor area behind Uppsala Nature School. Carve a butter knife, a magic wand, a shrink-wrap container, a hook – or something completely different. We can offer tips and ideas if you’d like, but you’re also welcome to work on something entirely of your own design.

Everyone is welcome and can craft at their own level. We have fresh wood and knives available to borrow. You’re, of course, welcome to bring your own tools or knives if you have them.

You’re also very welcome if you’re new to Swedish nature. We’re happy to provide instructions in simple Swedish. We can also give instructions in English.
