Let's Hike Uppsala Ridge - 16 May 2026

In collaboration with Uppsala's local branch of the Swedish Tourist Association (STF) and Uppsala University Student Health Services, we invite you to join us on a hike along Uppsala Ridge on the Pilgrimage hike "Ingegerd Trail" from Sunnersta to Uppsala Cathedral.

We hike the final section of the Ingegerd Trail, with Uppsala Cathedral as our destination. We will first walk along the Uppsala Ridge towards the city centre at a leisurely pace, heading north towards the centre of Uppsala. Please bring a packed lunch and wear weather-appropriate clothing. We will have lunch at a rest area near Övre Föret. The walk ends at Uppsala Cathedral, where we will be given an ‘informal’ guided tour by Lars Holmer, who will talk about the cathedral’s architectural history and the types of rock used in its construction. Approximately 10 km. The activity is organised in collaboration with Studiefrämjandet.

Important information: We meet at 10.00 am at Sunnerstastugan. Nearest bus stop: Sunnerstabacken (city bus 8 & regional bus 101). Please note that the finishing time is provisional.
